Support Staff

Caroline Castro - Administrative Assistant

Caroline Castro

Church Ministry Coordinator

I came to Metro East from our "parent" church, Metropolitan Baptist, in the late 1990s and joined the staff as the lone office support person in January 2002.  I later became the Senior Pastor’s Ministry Assistant and have served in that role for the past few years.  I love my Metro East Church family—they are the warmest people anywhere! My hope is that we would reflect God’s glory to one another and those who do not yet know Him.

Teresa Fry - Administrative Assistant

Teresa Fry

Ministry Assistant for Church Ministries

My job here at Metro East is one of the five best things to ever happen in my life.  I started in January 2008 and can honestly say, every day since, that I love what I do. I love and care about the people I work with, and most of all I love for whom I work, which is God the Father.  He allows me to use my creative side to prepare the Sunday bulletin, my attention to detail to keep Sunday school and Worship attendance, and organizational skills helping with day-to-day office tasks. I pray that Metro East will find the courage and boldness to step out of the comfort zone, to love the unloved, and to lead unbelievers to Jesus.

Angie Harris - Student Ministry Assistant

Angie Harris

Student Ministry Assistant

I have been attending Metro East for over five years.  In my role, I try to provide James with the assistance he needs to carry out his goals for the Student Ministry. The sense of community I have experienced here is overwhelming and is one of the many things I value most about MEBC.  My prayer is that we will continue to provide the sense of an encouraging, welcoming family to all who walk in the door.

Leon Mueller - Facilities Maintenance

Leon Mueller

Facilities Manager

I began working for Metro East in June 2009 after Russ Yost, Sr. had me apply for the Facilities Manager position.  A few years before that, on March 24, 1982, after attending a Businessmen's Bible Study Luncheon at First Baptist Church downtown, I came to faith in Jesus Christ.  After that study, I surrendered my life to Christ at Stout-Crawford AMC-Jeep.  My vision and prayer for Metro East, as the Facilities Manager, is that God would use these facilities to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to train believers to be genuine disciples of Christ and teach others to do the same.  A quote that I have tried to live my life by is from the Navigators, "To know Christ in my own life in ever-increasing depth and to make disciples and develop laborers under any condition in every place I go."
